Padden Hills Remodel

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Perched above a quiet cul-de-sac with sweeping views of Bellingham Bay and the San Juan Islands, this 1996 home underwent a full interior renovation, including the kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms. Working with local designer Susie Wirth and Lummi Island-based architect Henry Walters, our team reimagined nearly every surface, from flooring to fixtures.
In the kitchen, signature upgrades include a custom frameless “Euro-style” cabinet package from Smith and Vallee and Calcatta Elysio quartz countertops from Creative Stoneworks. The details on these finishes speak for themselves, adding subtle elegance and functionality without going over the top. One of our favorite features, a pair of Kessebohmer “magic corners,” is hidden inside the cabinets, which make the most of hard-to-reach corners. We also updated the layout, opening up the kitchen to improve flow and continuity with the surrounding rooms and expand storage and counter space.
In the master bathroom, we utilized the same style cabinet package from Smith and Vallee, replaced the tile, added a new vanity, and installed heated flooring for chilly winter days.
Other work included replacing the front-facing windows to take full advantage of the view, a new fireplace, and new LED lighting and flooring throughout the entire home.
